Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the mission of the center.
Essential Position Requirements:
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification (ACLS preferred).
- Will be required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 3 months from date of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Two years of operating room experience, orthopedic experience required.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to correlate clinical data with patient’s medical and nursing care.
2. Ability to set priorities.
3. Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency on the unit.
4. Ability to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, etc.
5. Ability to demonstrate flexibility with assignments and schedule.
