Overview:
NEAG is seeking a motivated employee to join our team as a Warehouse Coordinator to play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. This role acts as the hub of communication in the warehouse and is primarily responsible for managing and processing members’ orders. This individual will need to collate and provide "pick tickets" to the warehouse representatives/forklift operators in a timely manner to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and prioritize order-picking tickets, manually or through Warehouse Management System (WMS) to provide warehouse representatives to ensure shipping goals and deadlines are met.
- Create and file essential shipping and receiving documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists.
- Input and maintain accurate order information within the ERP or WMS system.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between the warehouse representatives and warehouse managers to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Resolve discrepancies concerning picking errors.
- Answer the pick ticket desk phone to respond to member inquiries or questions from other departments.
- Address Members’ problems regarding orders, shipping discrepancies, and special requests by working with Member Services.
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with other administrative duties to improve the overall efficiency of the warehouse and logistics functions.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Highly organized. Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and maintain accurate and organized records in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical proficiency using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams…).
- Accuracy when reviewing orders and documents to prevent errors and ensure member satisfaction.
- Analytical skills to quickly resolve unexpected issues and operational bottlenecks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact clearly with warehouse staff, retail members and other departments.
- Must be punctual, dependable and effectively able to manage their time.
- Capable of working effectively in a warehouse environment that has concrete flooring and changing temperatures – heat/cold.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to lift 10-15 pounds when necessary. May need to move/lift light articles that could require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, or pulling items.
- A team player, possess a positive “can-do” attitude and willing to take on tasks that may fall outside the primary responsibilities.
