This role is responsible for analyzing and maintaining insurance and tax-related loan servicing processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting audits, and assisting with operational reporting and process improvement efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working within banking operations, loan servicing, escrow administration, or a similar financial services environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting compliance requirements, and improving operational efficiency across the department.
Job Requirements
- Review and analyze insurance, escrow, and property tax reports to identify discrepancies and exceptions
- Perform commercial and residential insurance tracking, renewals, and policy maintenance for escrowed and non-escrowed loans
- Review insurance policies to ensure compliance with bank requirements and regulatory guidelines
- Monitor flood insurance requirements and ensure compliance with FEMA and related regulations
- Maintain and update insurance, escrow, and tax records within servicing systems
- Support property tax payment processes, reconciliations, and exception resolution
- Update loan servicing records and tax addendums accurately and timely
- Respond to insurance, escrow, and tax-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with audit remediation efforts, compliance reviews, SOX controls, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare operational reports, management presentations, and departmental metrics
- Monitor workload trends and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action planning for operational issues
- Maintain departmental procedures and ensure operational documentation remains current
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
- Provide backup support for other operational functions, including loan servicing reconciliations and general ledger balancing activities
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in banking operations, loan servicing, escrow administration, insurance administration, or a similar analytical role required
- Experience working with loan servicing, insurance tracking, escrow accounts, or property tax administration preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, and operational analysis for management
- Knowledge of insurance compliance, escrow administration, flood insurance requirements, or loan servicing operations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and staff
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or SOX-related activities preferred
