Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents and provide tours of available apartment homes and community amenities.
- Respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a professional and timely manner.
- Guide applicants through the leasing process, including application completion, follow-up, and move-in coordination.
- Verify applicant information and assist with income qualification and program compliance documentation for tax credit housing.
- Maintain accurate records related to leasing activity, resident files, and compliance documents.
- Prepare lease agreements, addenda, and related paperwork with attention to detail.
- Support resident retention efforts by providing responsive service and assisting with renewal processes.
- Coordinate with property management and maintenance teams to help ensure a positive resident experience.
- Stay informed on community policies, fair housing requirements, and applicable tax credit regulations.
- Assist with marketing efforts, outreach initiatives, and leasing events as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior leasing experience in multifamily housing or property management preferred.
- Tax credit knowledge and experience with compliance documentation required.
- Strong understanding of affordable housing processes and resident qualification standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while staying organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency with property management software and general computer applications.
