IT Technician

Required Tasks and Responsibilities

 Perform day-to-day support activities to maintain IT systems; Network, desktops,

printers and other devices

 Hardware acquisition and installation

 Deploy new software and hardware as needed

 Maintain and create user accounts in our network and on subscribed services

 Monitor network performance. Take corrective action as required

 Train users in the use of software and hardware as needed

 Stay current on emerging technology, and be able to provide recommendations for

future technology investments

 Maintain and manage mobile device management system

 Develop and maintain IT related documentation and procedures.

 Work on projects as designated by management

 Support remote call center users

Optional but preferred Tasks and Responsibilities

 Monitor routers and servers along with hosted VMS

 Manage and update blog style webpages (Wordpress, HTML, CSS)

 Migrate and manage software databases (UPS, MiSYS, QuickBooks)

 Assist with creating new Network infrastructure

 Managing and diagnosing IP Cameras

 Occasionally assist with server troubleshooting and support

 Maintain file server access and permissions

 Manage G-Suite services including email and drive accounts

 Occasionally perform backups and assist with server support

Knowledge and Experience

• Familiarity with Network/Systems administration experience in a Microsoft Domain

environment

• Experience configuring, managing, and supporting Linux/UNIX-based systems
• Experience configuring, managing, and supporting VMware & Windows Server

2003/2008/2012

• Experience Supporting Desktop technologies including Windows XP/7/10/11, macOS
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group policies.
• Experience with Backup Technologies & Strategies
• Experience/Knowledge with VoIP Telephone Systems
• Experience with G-Suite
• Experience with firewall / UTM hardware devices
• Experience with site-to-site and client VPNs
• Awareness of security issues surrounding cloud services, email and mobile devices
• Understanding of networking protocols, LAN, and WAN configuration, IP subnetting
• Capable of clear and effective communication with non-technical staff
• Ability to work under own initiative and with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and issues
