We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial, industrial, municipal, educational, or public works construction projects as a General Contractor (Prime Contractor). The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from award through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Lead project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project execution.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements.
- Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs and prepare monthly financial reports, projections, and change order logs.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Conduct regular jobsite meetings and maintain strong communication with field teams.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, as-builts, and final documentation.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and client relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor or Prime Contractor.
- Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, public works, education, healthcare, or municipal construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Experience managing subcontractors and self-performed work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and negotiated contracts.
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and public works requirements.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with projects ranging from $1M to $25M .
