Automotive Sales Consultant

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Car Sales Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service in the automotive industry. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, showcase our vehicle inventory, and guide them through the purchasing process. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for automobiles and a strong sales acumen.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to identify their automotive needs and preferences.
• Provide detailed information about vehicle features, specifications, and pricing.
• Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle capabilities.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact to closing the sale.
• Maintain an organized inventory of vehicles and ensure accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers in understanding financing options.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Uphold high standards of customer service throughout the buying experience.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid in-state driver's license and good driving record
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral
• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Virginia Salesperson License from the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (MVDB)
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen

Responsibilities

• The Sales Consultant position will include New and Used Automotive Sales and Leasing
• Determine each customer's vehicle needs and wants by asking questions and listening
• Demonstrate vehicles including test drives
• Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc
• Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business
• Introduce customers to Service Department personnel for future maintenance and service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
