Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays at time of service
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in the EHR system
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day
- Handle administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and managing correspondence
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or medical office training preferred
- Prior experience in a medical or healthcare front desk role strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing basics
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy front office environment
- Professional, compassionate demeanor with a patient-first attitude
