Child Care Center Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. You will play a crucial role in their early childhood education, focusing on their development and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a strong understanding of childhood development principles.

Responsibilities

• Educate children through engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote literacy education and overall development.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Plan and execute lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of children in your care.
• Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the educational experience for all students.
• Maintain classroom management to ensure a structured learning environment.

Requirements

• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• A degree/certification in Early Childhood Education, Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist or West Virginia Infant/Toddler Specialist Network is encouraged for all but only required for certain positions.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
• Ability to implement effective behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of literacy education strategies is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A genuine passion for child welfare and education.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• You are required to keep your designated classroom/work area clean and free of any hazards at all times.
