JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Leadership & Technical Support
- Lead and direct maintenance staff performing electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
- Assist technicians in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
- Oversee the dismantling, assembly, installation, and testing of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance, production efficiency, and product quality.
Safety, Compliance & Work Standards
- Enforce all company policies, safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety, security, and loss‑control programs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and PPE in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
Planning, Scheduling & Workflow Management
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production and maintenance schedules.
- Recommend changes in work conditions, staffing, or schedules to improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate time, work order, and production records.
People Leadership
- Support the selection, onboarding, training, and development of maintenance team members.
- Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, recognition, and corrective action as needed.
- Address employee concerns and help resolve issues in alignment with company policies and applicable laws.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze maintenance challenges and assist technicians in resolving work‑related problems.
- Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, improve reliability, and strengthen preventive maintenance practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; three to four years of related maintenance experience and/or training preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedure documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare routine reports and communicate effectively in one‑on‑one or small‑group settings.
- Solid math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, proportions, area, circumference, and volume; basic algebra and geometry knowledge preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work through a variety of variables and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule‑based instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally 75 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the facility
- Climb stairs, ladders, and platforms to access equipment
- Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach in tight or elevated spaces
- Move through production areas with uneven or slippery surfaces
- Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
- Be exposed to noise, vibration, moving machinery, and occasional airborne particles
- Work around chemicals, lubricants, cleaning agents, and industrial fluid
