- Uses all tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and careful manner and for their intended use.
- Imperative that maintenance personnel adhere to all safety standards, procedures and policies to ensure that effective execution of duties and responsibilities
- Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Welds parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
- Use of power tools such as grinders, saws, drills, etc.
- Moves machinery and equipment such as telehandler, skid loader or forklift.
- Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
- Align machines and equipment.
- Dismantles machines.
- Repairs and lubricated machines and equipment.
- Maintains records of maintenance activities.
- Ensures that work area, equipment, and vehicles are all neat, clean, and well maintained.
- Works necessary hours as requested by manager to ensure completion of projects, response to needed maintenance requests, and provide exceptional quality service.

- Checks the work area for hazards and corrects/reports unsafe conditions.

- One to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience with a good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in all types of environments, including but not limited to elevated areas (heights), dusty conditions, various weather conditions (hot to cold).
- Understanding of the time commitments of the role throughout the year, as well as the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customer, peers and individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Possesses problem solving capability and understands the operation processes.
