Full-time position available - The pay rate ranges from $16.10 to $17.85 per hour depending on certifications and shift differentials (overnights and weekends). The available schedules are:
Position 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 2:45p - 11:00p, Friday 6:45a - 3:00p, and Saturday 2:45p - 11:00p
Position 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 6:45a - 3:00p
Per diem positions available - work hours are not guaranteed and are scheduled on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility rather than a set schedule. Per Diem rate of pay is $15.50 per hour. Per diem is a great way to get started with New Communities and transition into a regular position when an ideal schedule is available.
The role: As a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) at our assisted living/senior living home located in South Berwick, ME, you will provide caregiver support to seniors to live life fully. You will assist with personal care and inspire residents to participate in fun, recreational activities. PSSs do not pass medications to residents; however, there are opportunities to advance your career and become a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA).

Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- 18 years of age or over
- Experience in direct care, preferred, but not required. Willing to train.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers whose primary language is English
