What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant, Event Staff position at New College of Florida?
The Student Events Team (SET) organizes events designed to create community and engagement on campus for students by students. The Student Assistant shall be responsible for planning and executing all Community events, including but not limited to: LatinX Heritage Month, Indigenous Awareness Month, Black History Month, and Women’s History Month,
- Plan and execute all Community Events, (LatinX Heritage Month, Indigenous Awareness Month, Black History Month, and Women’s History Month)
- Create and maintain a budget for all events
- Attend weekly one-on-ones with supervisor and team meetings
- Hold office hours in the SAuCE Office
- Assist with other SET/SAuCE events
- Special projects and other duties as assigned and approved by the supervisor
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Full-time NCF student in good academic and conduct standing
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
- Motivated self-starter with the capacity to work independently while contributing to team projects as appropriate
- Ability to maintain a professional manner, including excellent customer service skills
- Ethical decision-making skills and ability to work with confidential information
- Proficient in Google Suite (Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, Gchat, etc)
