- Actively supporting the Admissions Office in recruitment initiatives, with a particular focus on engaging with religious schools, especially Jewish high schools and institutions. This will involve attending targeted events to promote the unique liberal arts education at New College, with a special emphasis on highlighting our commitment to providing a physically safe environment for students who have experienced religious persecution, discrimination, or harassment. Your efforts will be instrumental in building NCF’s credibility within these communities.
- Collaborating with the Office of Student Affairs to advise and support a newly established Hillel International group on campus, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive student experience and also facilitating this groups use of a newly constructed Contemplative Center on the NCF campus.
- Assisting a future Faith Coordinator (or similar role) in cultivating relationships with local churches, mosques, and synagogues within the Sarasota community. This engagement will focus on facilitating student access to religious services and enhancing New College’s standing and positive perception within these diverse faith-based organizations.
- Providing assistance and active engagement in the Markovitz Socratic Stage speaker series as requested by the Communications and Foundation teams to work in attracting speakers and facilitating certain events and debates as directed by the College.
- Teaching one Judaic Studies course each semester within the NCF Humanities Division and participating in student Independent Study Projects (ISPs) as requested within the division.
