What are the responsibilities and job description for the Float Program Counselor position at New Challenges, Inc.?
NCI is currently hiring full time Float Program Counselors/Float DSP. New Challenges, Inc. provides services to adults with disabilities, mental health diagnosis and brain injuries in residential settings in the east and south metro area.
Full time float employees will be scheduled for 35-40 hours each week at trained locations. Every other weekend shifts will be required for this position. Scheduled locations may be located in Apple Valley, West St Paul, Bloomington, Rosemount or Eagan.
Weekday scheduled hours will be evening hours will start between 2p to 5p and end at 10p. Weekend float staff openings include 8a-4p and 2p-10p. Float staff will receive their scheduled hours and site location placement and schedule one week in advance on-going. Candidates for this position must be able to perform personal cares and lift/push/pull 50 lbs or more.

- ADL's
- Programs
- Activities
Candidates for this position must have at least 1 year of direct care experience in foster care settings. All applicants must have a valid driver's license, have a high school diploma, a vehicle to use while on duty, pass standards for driving history and meet criteria for a DHS background study. Experience as a direct support professional (DSP), nursing assistant (CNA), personal care attendant (PCA) or home health aide (HHA) are encouraged to submit resumes.
