We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to join our team in
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Support residents with medication reminders following care plans and medical instructions, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to inform ongoing care strategies.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of residents’ living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices.
- Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and update care plans as needed.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to foster emotional well-being.
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly valued.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, memory care, dementia management, and hospice support enhances your ability to serve residents effectively.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and patient confidentiality standards.
- Excellent conflict management and behavior management skills to handle challenging situations compassionately.
