What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at New Century Federal Credit Union?
New Century Federal Credit Union is seeking a qualified candidate for a Full-Time Teller position to join our established team with the availability to work at our Joliet or New Lenox Branch offices.
If you are a dependable, friendly, motivated and hardworking individual with knowledge of Credit Union Services looking to join our dynamic team this is the role for you.
On any given day you may:
- Provide top-notch customer service to our members via phone, email, or in person managing member needs.
- Process deposit, withdrawals, loan payments, teller checks, money orders, and cash advances
- Complete payroll deductions and authorization forms.
- Balance Each day’s transactions and verifies cash totals.
- Cross sell Credit Union Services by presenting and explaining Credit Union services and meeting member needs.
- Resolves and investigates out-of-balance conditions.
- Perform drive-up service and night drop functions
- Respond to inquiries and questions from members on a variety of reasons.
- Performs file maintenance and account changes
- Assist with account and product opening for members
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Maintain high level of privacy of member account information
- Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Bilingual Preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Continuously required to talk or hear
- Continuously able to sit and use hand, wrist, and finger dexterity
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift/push/carry items less than 10 pounds.
