Duties
- Review and verify all loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations.
- Prepare and submit loan files for approval, ensuring all necessary disclosures such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) are properly included.
- Communicate effectively with loan officers, underwriters, builders, title companies and borrowers to gather missing information or clarify details throughout the processing cycle.
- Ensure adherence to loan origination procedures, contracts, and banking regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Utilize basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency to accurately calculate figures related to loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, banking, or a related financial services field.
- Experience processing residential mortgage loans, including purchase, refinance, and construction loan transactions preferred.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending documentation, loan processing procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with income calculation, credit documentation, title work, appraisals, insurance requirements, and closing processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and collaborate effectively with lenders, underwriters, closing personnel, title companies, and borrowers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
