What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ag Equipment Operator position at New Century Ag?
This job consists of driving agricultural equipment and/or delivering products to field in support
for the agricultural equipment operator both done on a farm for a farmer. Mix specified
materials or chemicals, and dump solutions into agricultural equipment. Fill tanks with water,
chemicals, and fertilizer according to formulas and take the tanks to the farm sites. Operate
machines such as agricultural sprayers or fertilizer spreaders to fertilize and spray crops. Apply
crop nutrient or crop protection products to control insects, fungus, weed growth, and diseases,
to assist in the cultivation of agricultural commodities using agricultural equipment. Spread dry
fertilizer using gps enabled agricultural equipment. Manipulate controls, nozzles, hoses, and
tubes to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery to direct product over designated
areas. Assist in loading fertilizer onto trucks, agricultural equipment, and rail cars Adjust, repair,
and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery
malfunctions.
