Job Summary:
The PE Instructional Assistant supports the PE teacher by assisting with instruction, supervision, and educational activities in both classroom and gym settings. This role helps ensure a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities Include:

Work closely with one or more students on a regular basis to provide instructional and behavioral support.

Assist in supervising students during PE instruction, activities, and transitions.

Reinforce and extend instruction after the teacher’s initial presentation.

Support small groups of students to strengthen understanding of instructional material.

Listen to students during reading, recitation, skill practice, and other assigned curriculum tasks.

Check students’ work and provide feedback as directed by the supervising teacher.

Assist with maintaining and updating student records, logs, and documentation.

Make, organize, and file copies and instructional materials.

Support the proper use, care, and organization of PE equipment and facilities.

Maintain positive and professional relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.

Demonstrate consistent attendance, as reliability is essential for student success.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or building principal.
