Job Summary: The Middle School Dean of Students supports the overall school climate by providing leadership in student behavior, discipline, and social-emotional development. This role works closely with school administration, staff, students, and families to promote a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the implementation and management of student discipline in alignment with school policies and restorative practices
Provide proactive behavior supports to promote positive student conduct and school culture
Facilitate and oversee behavior intervention programs and supports
Collaborate with the Principal and Assistant Principal to plan, implement, and evaluate student-focused programming
Coordinate supervision of general school facilities to ensure student safety and appropriate conduct
Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation of student behavior and intervention records
Promote restorative approaches when addressing student behavior and consequences
Provide proactive leadership to engage students, staff, families, and other stakeholders
Support student academic achievement through attention to personal, social, and behavioral development
Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience
Valid Indiana teaching license required, Building-Level Administrator License preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate Indiana licensure as required by the Indiana Department of Education Experience with MTSS, TBRI, and PBIS preferred
