- Experienced in assistive technology assessment and implementation
- Independently problem-solve and schedule daily activities
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with students, staff and families
- Conduct assistive technology evaluations
- Oversee distribution & and maintenance of equipment
- Present evaluative findings at Planning & Placement Team meetings
- Interface with Technology department regarding future planning, acquisition and implementation of resources
- Support special education teachers and students, including 504, who are learning to use and implement a variety of assistive technology devices and systems
- Keep informed of advances in technology and their impact on education to meet the evolving needs of students
- Provide professional development for special education and general education staff
- Collaborate with Speech & Language Pathologists on augmentative communication devices
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent
