Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician / Collision Repair Technician to join our team in New Canaan, Connecticut.
We are looking for a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in producing high-quality work and can efficiently complete collision and auto body repairs from start to finish. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience, excellent attention to detail, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform collision and auto body repairs according to industry standards
- Repair and replace damaged body panels and vehicle components
- Perform dent repair, body straightening, panel alignment, and related body work
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as required for repairs
- Identify additional or hidden damage during the repair process
- Ensure proper fit, finish, and quality of completed repairs
- Maintain an organized and safe work area
- Properly use and maintain shop tools and equipment
- Work efficiently to meet repair timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Communicate with management regarding repair progress and any additional work needed
Qualifications
- Previous professional auto body/collision repair experience required
- Strong knowledge of collision repair techniques and procedures
- Experience with panel replacement, body repair, and vehicle disassembly/reassembly
- Ability to work independently and manage repair assignments efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, bending, standing, and working around vehicles for extended periods
