What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant / Bookkeeping position at New Buffalo Shirt Factory, Inc.?
New Buffalo Shirt Factory is a leader in apparel decoration and merchandise – and we have an immediate opening for a full-time, in-person staff accountant to work at our Depew, New York facility. We are looking for a qualified individual to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping so we can focus on delivering excellent service in music merchandise and branded apparel to our national accounts. The job duties will include:
- Managing AR/AP and general journal transactions to ensure accuracy across transactions.
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assisting with payroll processing and recordkeeping
- Performing cash flow analysis and cash management tasks.
- Assisting leadership with financial and sales reporting, making sure that we are tracking to our internal performance metrics.
Qualified candidates should have:
- 2 Years prior experience in bookkeeping in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
- Ability to manage confidential financial information with professionalism.
- Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise software, Office 365 suite.
- Ability to interface with our independent accounting team to prepare and submit required documentation as it relates to tax prep and annual filings.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Paid vacation and sick leave.
- Full time hourly rate ranging from $25-$35 based on qualifications, experience and proficiency.
