Job Overview
Small and friendly company seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. Also need to assist in admixture installation and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks and courier vans to deliver products across assigned routes
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques
- Ensure accurate delivery of goods by verifying orders and obtaining necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections before and after routes
- Follow route schedules efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries
- Assist in warehouse activities including moving inventory, organizing stock, and preparing shipments when needed
- Handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience involving commercial vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Ability to operate box trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks;
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks such as moving boxes or inventory items
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling loading/unloading procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to driving and warehouse operations
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently on assigned routes
