Job Summary
Tests and inspects aggregates product before, during, and after production, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow the instruction of the QC Lead and QC Director
- Collect, weigh, test, and record samples of aggregates using various equipment and devices
- Perform work according to specification sheets and forward to supervisors as needed
- Maintain excellent communications with the QC and Operations Teams regarding product quality and standards.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
- High School Diploma with Higher-Level training preferred
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Computer experience required
- Ability to pass TxDOT and ACI tests and understand technology
- Ability to understand basic statistics and mathematics
- Ability to work strenuously for at least a 12-hour shift
- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
- Long periods of standing and/or walking required
- Must wear protective equipment while in the plants and loud areas of the lab
- Be able to work all hours required
- Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
- Must pass physical to include hearing test and drug/alcohol screen
