Responsibilities:
- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing and insurance information.
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and explaining procedures to patients.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with minor medical procedures, including wound care and suture removal.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical billing software.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Experience with X-Ray procedures is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy.
- Proficient in providing medical administrative support.
- Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Experience with X-Ray procedures is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
