New Beginnings Home Care Inc., located in Auburn, New York, is urgently seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join their team for the Cayuga County area. As a PCA/HHA, you will be responsible for basic housekeeping, personal hygiene assistance, and offering companionship to clients in the Cayuga County area.
Driver preferred. Hours are 3P - 8P with room for the case to grow. Just a few minutes outside the city of Auburn.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain standards and policies set by New Beginnings Home Care, Inc.
- Follow the established care plan by the supervising nurse.
- Provide personal care and assist with non-medical food preparation.
- Report significant client changes to the supervising nurse.
- Create a pleasant environment for all staff and clients.
- Submit necessary documentation and reports.
- Assist with medical appointments and relay information to supervisors.
- Protect client confidentiality.
- Attend ongoing training sessions.
- Address concerns with supervisors and colleagues.
- Respect and enforce Client/Patient Bill of Rights.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Active PCA, HHA, CNA Certification.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of best practices in personal care.
- Available for irregular shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in medication administration and client assistance.
- Skilled in mobility and personal hygiene support.
