- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software to document care plans, updates, and compliance with health regulation policies.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with health insurance inquiries related to home care services.
- Support medical administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, patient intake, and updating medical documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to phone inquiries with professionalism and empathy; communicate effectively via client communication channels.
- Ensure adherence to health regulation policies by staying informed about relevant guidelines and implementing best practices in all aspects of patient management.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office settings or healthcare administrative support roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of health regulation policies related to home care services and patient privacy standards such as HIPAA.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management systems).
- Experience using patient management software or electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate data entry and record keeping.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in person.
- Understanding of health insurance processes and coverage options relevant to home healthcare.
- Excellent organizational skills including typing accuracy and attention to detail when managing documentation.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times while handling sensitive information efficiently.
