What are the responsibilities and job description for the Success Coach position at New Beginnings Group Home?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee resident’s normal daily routines.
2. Coordinate daily operations as outlined in policies and procedures.
3. Maintain a secure, clean, and positive environment which includes light cleaning
of home.
4. Teach residents daily living activities and independent living skills.
5. Document all behavior, resident’s location, school records, chores.
6. Assist with preparing meals for residents.
7. Model positive behavior for residents.
8. Assist with grocery and food shopping.
9. Provide Transportation for residents.
10. Maintain confidentiality as it relates to case files, group home marketing and
publicity.
11. Act as liaison between the community, schools, families, neighbors.
12. Participate in all training for employees, as required by ODJFS/OFC & NBGH.
OBJECTIVES:
The above responsibilities will be coordinated with the Administrator and LSW. The
Success Coach will ensure the group home is in a safe, clean, and nurturing
environment, where our youth will thrive as responsible adults. This will include helping
to develop a positive self-image and working with our youth to become self-sufficient.
The Success Coach will follow service plans based on each individual youth and their
needs.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Success Coaches will adhere to the job description listed above. In addition, the
Success Coach will support the Administrator and submit monthly reports regarding
operation of the group home and resident behavior.
EMPLOYMENT POLICY:
The Administrator will conduct a search in securing qualified direct care staff for New
Beginnings Group Home. In the event of the decision to resign their position at NBGH,
it is required that the Success Coach submit a 14-day resignation letter to the
Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Employee must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED. Employee
must be able to pass an FBI and BCII background checks.
A valid Driver’s License is required.
Experience in working with youth is preferred.
