Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence and comfort for clients
• Implement ABA therapy protocols under supervision, ensuring adherence to individualized care plans and ethical standards
• Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
• Support clients during direct behavioral therapy sessions, applying behavior management techniques to encourage positive behaviors
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistency in care and progress updates
• Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records and documentation
• Contribute to the development of care plans tailored for each client, emphasizing autism spectrum disorders support and neurodevelopmental needs

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders, is highly preferred
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and experience implementing ABA therapy protocols is a strong asset
• Experience working in home-based behavioral settings or school environments enhances your ability to adapt therapy techniques across different contexts
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to perform behavioral data collection accurately and consistently in compliance with professional standards
• Understanding of special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and client communication skills are essential for success in this role

***** The Hours are School based. We work inside the Franklin Parish Schools as contracted therapist. Your hours will be 7:45-3:30 Tuesday-Friday. We are off on Monday due to schools being out that day. This is the perfect schedule for those candidates with children and want to be home when they are home!**********

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to pass a lifetime State and Federal Background check

Must be able to pass a Drug Screening and Random Screenings

Must be 18 and Older

Must have YOUR OWN VEHICLE due to moving from School to School if needed too during the day.

Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Must not have any Medical or Physical issues that will prevent you from attending work or from being able to do the job requirements.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 per week
