SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF CLASSIFICATION: The Warehouse & Inventory Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations and inventory control. This includes managing staff, monitoring stock levels, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in inventory management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Principles of receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and distribution. Knowledge of warehouse layout and space optimization. Stock control procedures. Inventory tracking systems and cycle counting. FIFO, LIFO, and other inventory methods. Understanding of supply chain processes and logistics coordination. Vendor and transportation management basics. OSHA standards and warehouse safety protocols. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems Primero edge software, and barcode/RFID systems. Use of MS Excel, Word, and other reporting tools. Ability to motivate and manage warehouse staff. Delegating tasks and evaluating performance effectively. Proven experience as a warehouse, inventory, or logistics manager. Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., NetSuite, Primero Edge). Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Knowledge of supply chain and logistics best practices.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3–5 years of relevant experience in warehouse and inventory management. Certification for forklifts, pallet jacks, and OSHA 10 is a plus. Driver’s license is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Plan, organize, and manage the operations of the warehouse.
•Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.

•Ensure compliance with district & department policies and health/safety regulations.
•Develop and implement warehouse procedures to increase efficiency.
•Monitor KPIs and generate performance reports.
•Identify opportunities for cost savings and inventory optimization.
•Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
•Enforce proper handling and storage of goods.
•Maintenance of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.
•Assist with deliveries when required
•Other duties as assigned by the Director of Food & Nutrition Services, Superintendent or designee.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
SALARY: $50,000-60,000

CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Forklift and OSHA certified or willing to obtain upon hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Frequently required to stand, walk, and move around a warehouse environment for extended periods. required to lift, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders or stairs and bend, kneel, stoop, or reach overhead as needed. Must be able to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (with appropriate certification). Capable of performing repetitive tasks and handling moderate to heavy physical workload during inventory counts or shipping/receiving activities.
