Teachers for Academic Achievement for the Title I summer programs located at qualifying private schools. Dates and time vary by school and student caseload.
Exact number of Teachers as Academic Achievement Tutors will depend on the number and needs of qualifying students. Equitable services per Title I, Part A
• Tutors (K - 8) - 18 certified teachers - days and times may vary from Monday - Friday (July and August) 3 - 4 hours per day. Pay rate is $25/hr.
•Tutors are responsible for helping student to understand ELA and/or math subject areas. Assess and assist and encourage students in the learning process so students make academic achievement. Tutors review materials used in classes and explain various topics. Tutors answer all the issues and questions of the student regarding the topics.
Job Requirements
•Experience in online or remote or distance learning practices.
•Must be able to physically sit for at least one hour and participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
•Support student learning based on student needs.
•Provide progress reports.
•Report student attendance weekly.
•Attend pre-scheduled meetings when necessary.
•Bachelor's degree and teaching license required.
•Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
