JOB MISSION:
The Trackster is responsible for the successful execution of product training, educational, promotional, and merchandising tasks for footwear, apparel, and accessories at running specialty and/or sporting goods accounts. This role is responsible for building strong business relationships with store owners, managers, and retail sales associates to drive sell through on NB products.
The Trackster is an integral part of growing brand awareness and stimulating end-consumers to try the products on either in-store or at events. The role acts as a brand ambassador for New Balance carrying out monthly and quarterly initiatives, partnering closely with local account managers to help deliver sales goals. While we operate remotely, the Trackster Team will continue to develop engaging content and training assets to entice and excite our accounts in order to drive sales and increase market share. In preparation of 2021 and the expansion of our tech running product, the team will be fully equipped to train virtually and or be ready to visit accounts with a focused approach and direction.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Align with national strategy and brand goal directives from leadership.
Continue to focus on providing virtual product training and video content to engage and train sales associates across the channel.
Act as digital brand ambassadors by helping to bridge digital messages with staff in stores.
Conduct digital site audits on new product launches, and ensure all accounts are utilizing NB marketing assets.
Provide virtual event planning, races and Strava activation.
Create impactful content for Trackster Instagram account
Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with retail store sales staff and management (Staff has changed in most stores)
Take part in training the new Dick’s Sporting Goods, Run Genius group
Provide virtual training to REI staff to drive strong sell through on 880/860 (new to REI)
Train the Road Runner group on 880/860 as the product is now in all doors.
Work with and support Fleet Feet stores across the country to educate and train staff virtually.
Provide digital training assets for the Fleet Feet store site.
Deliver training and content to Scheels staff and develop content for Scheels Footwear University
Create performance running training content for our NB stores and .COM customer care team.
Support local run specialty stores and take part in Cross Country season, virtually.
Communicate results and impact from all virtual tech sessions and touch points.
Stay current on industry trends, products, and communications.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Four year college degree or equivalent.
Two to three years of retail or sales experience required and athletic participation a plus.
Prefer run specialty or sporting goods retail experience. Highly connected to the running channel; previous participation in races and expos is desired.
Excellent communication & presentation skills are required.
Frequent travel and working on weekends.
Must be able to lift and carry sample bags or promotional event displays weighing up to 30 pounds.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable (as defined by NBAS auto insurance policy) driving record are required.
