Residential Housing Youth Advocate - Relief Team Member

$21.00 an hour, $23.00 an hour for overnight shifts.

While day, swing, and overnight shifts are worked by those in this relief role, there is an emphasis on the need for overnight shift coverage at $23.00 per hour.

What is the Residential Housing Youth Advocate role?

The Relief Residential Advocate fills in for vacant shifts in our Moxie transitional housing program when they are available to do so. This is primarily overnight and weekend shifts to cover for planned vacation, holiday, sick/illness, and unplanned absences. This position engages youth and maintains services through the Positive Youth Development model. This position helps maintain a safe and supportive multicultural environment for the Moxie residents. This role also assists in the upkeep of the space by keeping it clean.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with high-risk populations
• Understands the issues of substance abuse, mental health, trauma, abuse, and adolescent development including brain development.
• Ability and commitment to working with sexual minority and culturally diverse staff, participants and community.
• A strong desire to engage with this population ages 16 through 24 and support them through a trauma informed lens
• Ability to participate in the routine cleaning and up-keep of the program space
