Mental Health Professional (MHP) / Mental Health Specialist (MHS)

We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Mental Health Professional (MHP) / Mental Health Specialist (MHS) to provide high-quality mental health services to individuals. The ideal candidate is client-centered, culturally competent, and committed to supporting emotional well-being, recovery, and resilience through evidence-based practices. As an MHP/MHS you will provide PSR services to clients out in the community. This job does require reliable transportation. This is an independent contractor job.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individual/group counseling within the community as assigned
• Assist with developing and implementing treatment goals in with clients
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards
• Monitor client progress and make adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary
• Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing mental health services in a clinical, community, or behavioral health setting
• Experience working with diverse populations or specific groups (e.g., adolescents, adults, trauma survivors, substance use, severe mental illness)
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, TFCBT, EMDR, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.)
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR systems)

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
