Trim Line - Production Worker

Position Summary: 

The Trim Line Production Worker performs various tasks on the production line to trim, prepare, and process beef products according to company specifications, quality standards, and food safety requirements. This position works in a fast-paced production environment and requires the safe and efficient use of knives and other processing equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trim excess fat, tissue, and other material from beef products according to product specifications.
• Use knives and other production tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect products for quality and ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
• Maintain required production speed while performing accurate and consistent work.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and quality-control procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Identify and report product quality, equipment, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Follow supervisor and Team Lead instructions and perform other production duties as assigned.

• Previous meat processing, production, manufacturing, or knife experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn proper trimming and knife-handling techniques.
• Ability to work safely and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, overtime, and weekends as required by production needs.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• This position is performed in a beef processing facility. Employees may regularly be exposed to cold temperatures, wet or slippery surfaces, loud noise, moving equipment, and raw meat products. Appropriate PPE must be worn as required.
• Stand and work for extended periods during the scheduled shift.
• Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.
• Frequently reach, grasp, grip, and handle meat products and tools.
• Bend, twist, push, and pull as required to perform production duties.
