New Alternatives is seeking a motivated individual to join the team. The position works with children who are survivors of childhood abuse. New Alternatives is a Trauma Informed Care facility who believes in helping to put an end to the generational cycle of abuse.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Provide support to the child and family to promote stabilization of the family unit.
- Assist in transportation of youth
- Capability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with the child and family
- Maintain updated accurate case documentation of services provided
- Computer literate; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Work as part of a team
Qualifications
- Must be working towards Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 6 months experience working with children (volunteer work is acceptable)
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance and have access to reliable automobile
