Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Part-Time Armed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring a retail store property, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment through vigilant surveillance and proactive security measures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventative measures.
- Control access points by verifying credentials and managing visitor check-ins.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security service, or related fields is preferred.
- Must be able to work between the hours of 4PM - 9PM ( Monday- Saturday)
- Must be able to work All 6 days will be a bonus
Must have an open availability for employment consideration
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or conflict management are advantageous.
- Must have reliable transportation for consideration
- Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrol duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security training or licenses are a plus.
Pay: $12.50 - $13.25 per hour
