New Alliance Insurance Brokers is a growing transportation services organization dedicated to helping trucking companies stay compliant and operate efficiently. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permits Agent to join our team and manage trucking permits, registrations, compliance filings, and administrative operations.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in the trucking, logistics, transportation, or compliance industry who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain IRP (International Registration Plan) accounts and registrations.
- Prepare and file IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) applications, renewals, and quarterly filings.
- Manage vehicle registrations, title work, renewals, and state-specific requirements.
- Handle USDOT filings, including new applications, updates, and reinstatements.
- Process Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) filings and compliance documentation.
- Complete and submit required federal and state transportation filings.
- Monitor compliance deadlines and renewal requirements to ensure uninterrupted operations for clients.
- Support DOT compliance activities, including maintaining records and assisting clients with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with state agencies, federal agencies, clients, and carriers regarding permit and registration statuses.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems.
- Research regulations and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist clients with permit, registration, and compliance-related questions.
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, document management, reporting, and customer support.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely processing of compliance and registration requests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in trucking permits, transportation compliance, vehicle registrations, logistics, dispatch, or a related field.
- Knowledge of IRP, IFTA, DOT Compliance, FMCSA, USDOT Filings, Federal Filings, and State Filings preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with transportation management, compliance, or permitting software is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
