AHF Products has a great career opportunity for a General Laborer located at our Sawmill in Norton, WV. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, you will be responsible for keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill.
JOB DUTIES:
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Physically handle lumber by pulling from chain and placing in appropriate pack.
- Use crosscut saw to cut off bad ends.
- Band finished packs.
- Responsible for completing clean-up and ground maintenance of assigned areas.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the mill management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
- Positive and Verifiable Work History.
- Prior sawmill experience.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

- Push, pull, carry and lift 20 - 50lbs.
- Frequent walking and sitting.

- Exposure to noise environment requiring hearing protection.
