Clinical Director (Founding Role)
Nevut | On-site in Mahwah, NJ | Full-time
Compensation: $150k–$210k, depending on experience. Nevut does not currently offer health insurance or retirement benefits.
About the role
Nevut is seeking its first full-time Clinical Director. Nevut is a community-first organization (not a clinical provider) that supports IDF Lone Soldiers after their service through community, well-being, career support, and referrals to outside providers. As Clinical Director, you will provide clinical leadership to our established well-being team and serve as the organization’s clinical expert. You will guide staff through high-acuity situations, including suicidal ideation and severe PTSD, develop and refine our crisis protocols, and train team members who do not have clinical backgrounds.
What the job requires
* In the Mahwah office Monday through Thursday
* Regular presence at evening and weekend community events and Shabbatons in the NY/NJ area
* A turn on our 24/7 support line rotation, including Shabbat
* Full-time, exclusive role; an active private practice is not compatible
What you’ll do
* Build on our existing well-being program, adding the clinical structure, protocols and quality standards it needs to grow
* Lead critical-case decisions and debrief after incidents
* Supervise and train non-clinical staff, volunteers and referral partners
* Serve as a public face of Nevut, representing the organization to donors, community groups, providers and Israeli government representatives
What we’re looking for
* Active NY or NJ license (LCSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD)
* 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 3 years supervising clinicians
* Experience building or restructuring a program, not only running one
* Veteran, military, or trauma experience preferred; a connection to the Lone Soldier experience, Israeli military culture, or the American Jewish community is a strong plus
