About The Role
Nevly is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Company’s engineering department (the “Department”) and help the Company build great products. To be successful, the right candidate would be confident in building and managing engineering teams while, at the same time, bridging strategic vision to engineering execution. We would also expect the right candidate to be capable of setting a solid foundation within the Department from a leadership perspective.
Position Responsibilities
Nevly offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus based on performance and also provides a generous benefits package to its team members:
Base Salary Range: $185,000 - $225,000

About The Role
Nevly is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Company’s engineering department (the “Department”) and help the Company build great products. To be successful, the right candidate would be confident in building and managing engineering teams while, at the same time, bridging strategic vision to engineering execution. We would also expect the right candidate to be capable of setting a solid foundation within the Department from a leadership perspective.
Position Responsibilities
- Partner with the leadership team to establish the principles and practices of the Department and ensuring that they align with the Company’s strategic vision and operating priorities.
- Drive the Department’s team building efforts in coordination with the Company’s leadership and recruiting teams by being a gatekeeper for ensuring prospective Department members have strong technical skills while also aligning with the Company’s values.
- Serve as the link between product strategy and engineering build execution for the Company's Nevly Money product.
- Monitor the reliability and performance of all Company products and internal systems and make recommendations with a focus on stability, security and performance.
- Ensure that the Company and its associated products operate within compliance of all relevant security regulations.
- Prior experience as a director of engineering or in a similar senior-level role within an engineering department with a preference given to prior startup or early-stage company experience.
- Have at least four (4) years of engineering management experience and four (4) years of overall software development experience.
- Previous user experience working on user facing products with a bonus if you’ve done so inside of a startup environment.
- Possess strong leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
