Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries using QuickBooks desktop accounting software
- Maintain detailed records of journal entries, debits & credits, and double-entry bookkeeping processes to uphold financial integrity.
- Support payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental reporting requirements with precision and timeliness.
- Assist with budgeting processes by tracking expenses against budgets and preparing financial reports for management review.
- Provide administrative support such as managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining filing systems, and performing 10 key typing tasks efficiently.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data and resolve issues promptly.
- Support internal audits and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Facilitate communication between departments regarding financial matters while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms; familiarity with GAAP standards is essential.
- Understanding of corporate accounting principles including double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for accurate data entry; strong attention to detail is critical.
