About Us
Here at Never Alone Treatment Center we provide support to teens struggling with addiction. Part of our program is to support our clients with accessing their academics while in treatment. We are searching for an Education Assistant to support our clients stay on task, complete school work in a timely manner, and effectively communicate student needs and progress with the Education Coordinator.
Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Job Summary
The Education Assistant will work closely with the Education Coordinator to effectively support students with completing course work in a variety of subject areas ranging from grade 7 to 12 and a GED. The Education Assistant will also discuss the needs and progress of the clients with the Education Coordinator and will effectively create a plan of action to best support the clients academic needs on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
● Work directly with students on a variety of subjects to support understanding and completion.
● Effectively communicate the needs and progress of the clients with the Education Coordinator.
● Collecting and organizing completed work to be sent to various school districts.
● Support classroom management and support in maintaining appropriate behavior.
● Monitor student breaks and support students in staying on track with the academic schedule.
● Assist in preparing instructional materials
● Support in monitoring student laptop activity.
Qualifications
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● At least two (2) years experience working with adolescent students (grades 7-12)
● Ability to multitask
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suit
● Patience, ability to work under pressure, and ability to work as part of a team in a high paced
work environment
● Teaching Assistant Certificate preferred
● Experience with Special Education preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
