What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker - Part Time position at Nevada School District?
The Nevada Community School District is looking for a part time Food Service General Worker to join our team at NCSD!
This position begins as soon as possible with flexible 4 hour days between 7am-2pm Monday through Friday. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cooking, preparing and the serving of daily meals from the planned menu
- Assist with cleaning and following food safety procedures
- Ability to assist in filling out proper production records and food safety logs
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations regarding all School Lunch Programs
- Interact with all personnel, students, building patrons, federal/state inspectors, vendors and delivery persons with a positive can do attitude.
- Ability to operate all kitchen equipment
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Check in students at meal service on POS system
- Prepare lunch account deposits
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education / Experience
- High school diploma / GED
- Food service experience preferred
- ServSafe Certification - Recommended, but District will provide paid training to obtain after 6 months of service.
