Position Summary
Under the Direction of the CEO, the Director of Finance and Programs is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations and supporting program oversight. This position leads budgeting, financial reporting, QuickBooks management, internal controls, payroll coordination, and fiscal monitoring, while also helping ensure programs operate effectively, remain compliant, and stay aligned with organizational and funding requirements. The Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and program staff to support sound financial management, strong program performance, and organizational accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Finance
· Oversee day-to-day financial operations
· Assist with development and monitoring of the annual budget
· Prepare and review financial reports, budget-to-actual reports, and related fiscal documents
· Monitor revenues, expenditures, cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
· Ensure expenses are properly coded and allocated to the correct programs and funding sources
· Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in QuickBooks
· Identify budget variances, financial concerns, and needed corrective action
· Maintain sound fiscal procedures and internal controls
· Support payroll coordination and audit preparation
Programs
· Support oversight of organizational programs and services
· Review program reports, service data, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
· Help ensure programs operate in compliance with organizational and funding requirements
· Work with program staff to strengthen consistency, accountability, and performance
· Assist in identifying and addressing program operational issues
· Support implementation of organizational policies and procedures across programs
Leadership and Support
· May supervise designated program or fiscal staff
· Assist the Chief Executive Officer in preparing financial and program reports for the Board of Directors
· Provide information and analysis to support planning and decision-making
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
