What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist Assistant position at Nevada Regional Medical Center?
Pay: Base Wage starting at $24.24; increased based on experience
Incentive Eligible Position: Yes
Essential Functions:
- Answer phone calls.
- Brief patients and their families on after-therapy care.
- Guide patients through exercises where necessary.
- Lift or move patients. Monitor patients during sessions.
- Sanitize therapy area.
- Set up therapy equipment.
- Massage and stretch muscles where necessary.
- Schedule appointments.
Skills Abilities:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
- Certification from a physical therapist assistant program.
- Valid physical therapist assistant license.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy skills.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
- Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
- Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Active MO license for Physical Therapy Assistant
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience.
