Role Description The Pain Medicine Physician is a full-time, on-site at the Reno, NV location. This clinician will evaluate patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, perform detailed histories and physical examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, performing interventional pain procedures as appropriate, managing medications, and coordinating care with referring providers and allied health professionals. The physician will educate patients and families on treatment options, document care in the medical record, and participate in quality improvement and practice development activities. Collaboration with the clinical team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care is central to this role.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Pain Management, including evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions.
- Clinical experience or training in Anesthesiology relevant to interventional pain procedures and peri-procedural care, and or
- Background in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or comparable training focused on functional restoration and musculoskeletal medicine.
- Knowledge of Spine-related disorders and general Medicine sufficient to manage complex, multimorbid patients.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and completion of an ACGME-accredited residency; fellowship in Pain Medicine strongly preferred.
- Current or eligibility for unrestricted medical license in the state of Nevada and applicable DEA registration.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with commitment to patient-centered, non-discriminatory care.
- Experience with EMR systems, adherence to evidence-based guidelines, and participation in quality and safety initiatives.
