Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The Integrated Planning Administration Group (IPAG) Division is seeking to hire a Work Planner II to perform administrative maintenance, construction, operations and mobile support, processing the closure of work orders. In addition, this position will also perform work request processing for various customers within MSTS.
Key Responsibilities
Department of Energy Q Clearance Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 , “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709 , “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”

Key Responsibilities
- Perform the duties of the Work Control Specialist within the IPAG team, supporting the closure of maintenance, construction, operations and mobile work orders.
- Customer Service and Work Order Creation: Answer incoming calls, resolve customer issues, receive customer Quick Requests (work requests), and create corresponding work orders in the CMMS Maximo.
- Scope of Work Assistance: Assist requesters in providing appropriate and detailed scopes of work for their requests.
- Work Package Generation and Prioritization: Create all work packages in a timely and efficient manner. Establish initial priorities for work orders, ensuring that Priority 5 and Priority 6 requests are processed for timely completion of corrective actions.
- Work Package Review, Scanning, and Electronic Archival: Review, scan, and electronically attach maintenance work packages and M4M work packages in Maximo. Upload all work packages to Icon and complete necessary processing steps.
- Returned Work Package Processing: Retrieve returned and signed-off work packages from schedulers and planners, verifying against the Work Package log.
- Missing Work Package Management: Process any FRM-3154 "Unaccounted, Lost, or Missing Work Package" forms.
- Supply Management & Logistics (OPSEC): Schedule OPSEC pick-ups for building bins and boxes when needed.
- Ancillary Support: Assist Facility Managers as needed.
- Document Management (Electronic): Electronically attach relevant documents in Maximo when needed.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work effectively with all levels of personnel and management. Interact with schedulers, planning supervisors, planners, facility managers, and maintenance craft to ensure a smooth work control process flow.
- Cross Train to perform other IPAG functions as needed: (e.g. Work request processing, work package closure).
- Assist with making Davis Bacon determinations as needed as a contingency backup when applicable. This is only if the required training and security rights authorized have been completed.
- Support IPAG process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 2 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience
- Experience with either maintenance or construction and a general knowledge of what type of work different tradesman performs is desirable.
- Experience with business software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and other Office tools.
- Ability and experience effectively using computers, printers, scanners etc.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management and internal and external customers are essential.
- Strong computer skills, organizational skills, and be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks.
- Experience with IBM Maximo is highly desirable.
- The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
- Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
